Concealed Velcro Layer Pouch
When the RFQ for the Navy SEAL Recovery Kit came out, I made a version of the soft storage kit concealed behind the velcro of a flag patch.
Yesterday, I received a clever pouch from @law66, just velcro hook, a dividing layer, and velcro loop, where you can put your own flag or whatever patch on top. Works for me.
Observe — Evaluate — Control
Horngren’s Law: the real world is a special case.
Its one of those little tools you carry, and when you need it, its the best thing since a steak and cheese sandwich. Then you start to use it more and more for little jobs. Then it rapidly becomes a score card for those odd jobs you did and you remember them as standing out. It becomes a part of you, like a faithful bergan, boots or jacket.
These are the prototypes of the design and there seems to be a small misreading of the drawings on this one. The ground slant should have been steeper, but once you get past that, its more about the size. These are made from a bearing steel so its strong and will flex nicely at the low rockwell. They are currently 5mm thick, which may be changed to 4mm due to the extra weight it adds.
So what does it do? Well its a prybar yes, so it will sit on your keys and do a host of jobs, it can even help with slothead screws, self defense, simple fine adjustments, window breaking and when the grind is done correctly, it will keep a hotel room door shut. You simply wedge it into the door frame when you are inside so that when the door is locked it will help keep people out.
What about the finish? Well I was thinking of a tumbled finish to remove the corners and make it more appealing to a pocket carry. So that will be done to the prototypes. After that, I dont think cerakote is worth it as it will simply get scratched off. We shall have to see what we can do.
The two size options we have after some careful testing are 3.5” and 4.5”, so which do you think is the most useful and why? This is the one we will make on a production run.
More to come once I have had some testing and finishes applied. I will also try to incorporate some additional features if you recommend anything that is useful. No, not bottle openers.

3.5” because SERE wallet. Also, an instant winner because of the missing bottle opener. Seriously.
You never knew. That was his power. The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn’t exist. And like that, poof—he’s gone.
Polished White is the standard for the Micro Striker Disc.
Matte Black for the next run?
As “Early Adopters” of this device you will get the benefit of a special price for the Matte Black version. They will be £15.00 each including shipping anywhere - worldwide.
I can think of no other device that you can discreetly neck carry that is capable of breaking tempered glass, being used as a firesteel/ferro striker, self defence tool, knife sharpener and with the FR-Tech 960/Tech410 Neck Carry Lanyard an effective friction saw.
Simply reblog if you “want” and should the notes reach 100 I will take the gamble and order 100 in Matte Black. These will take about 30 to 40 days to manufacture.
All the best,

Looks like the Austrian IMCO mechanics, which are quite reliable.
